(Unofficial) Art:Dis- Social Media Campaign

Project Background
We were tasked to produce a social media campaign for a non-profit organisation to increase their following and engagement on Instagram. I chose Art:Dis, a youth volunteer organisation that aims to empower and equip disabled youths with skills required to succeed in the Arts.

Research
While their current content is up to date and accurate, I identified an opportunity to revitalise their visuals which would make it resonate more with my target audience. Furthermore, youths interviewed preferred a campaign activity that was fun, vibrant and full of zest.

With the insights in mind, I looked for bold brushstrokes and thick connected lines as well as dynamic text and bright colours to add the fun and energy that youths were looking for.

Content Creation Process

Social media strategy
By collaborating with the fictitious ndraws, an Instagram artist, Art:Dis will be able to attract more attention from the fans of ndraws. This is mutually beneficial as ndraws is an advocate for empowering differently-abled individuals, thus this will enhance her brand as well. 

Creating an "AR filter" also encourages more user-generated content, as it is a personalised and novel experience.
